A brand-new vintage store, Vintage Meets Hype, has officially opened its doors in downtown Guelph, offering a fresh mix of streetwear, jackets, shoes, and collectibles — all curated by students.
Located at 11 Macdonell St., in a space that formerly housed a barbershop, the shop is now filled with racks of comfortable vintage clothing and unique finds.
What makes Vintage Meets Hype stand out is its student-driven approach. The store is owned and operated by students, including 19-year-old Ben Deleeuw, a second-year marketing management student at the University of Guelph.
Though young, Deleeuw brings years of experience to his business — he has been collecting vintage shoes and clothing since he was 11 years old.
To support fellow students, Vintage Meets Hype also offers a 10% discount to students with valid ID.
Whether you’re looking for one-of-a-kind streetwear pieces or classic vintage styles, Vintage Meets Hype adds a trendy new vibe to downtown’s shopping scene.
