Riverfest Elora is gearing up for its 15th anniversary, promising an unforgettable weekend of music from some of the biggest names in the industry. Taking place from Friday, August 15 to Sunday, August 17, the festival will feature performances by City and Colour, Fitz and the Tantrums, Silversun Pickups, and more.
“This lineup is one of my all-time favorites,” said creative director Spencer Shewen. “For our 15th year, we went all in—bringing together an electrifying mix of artists and genres that feels like the ultimate festival mixtape.”
Held at Elora’s scenic Bissell Park (127 E. Mill St.), Riverfest Elora began in 2009, founded by local artist Marilyn Koop. What started as a small community event has grown into a major annual festival, attracting up to 6,000 attendees each day.
Here’s a look at the 2025 festival lineup:
-
Friday, Aug. 15: Silversun Pickups headlining, with Wheatus, Marcy Playground, Danny Michel, Cam Kahin, and more.
-
Saturday, Aug. 16: Fitz and the Tantrums take the stage, joined by Tune-Yards, Dear Rouge, Yukon Blonde, Tom Wilson, and Moontricks.
-
Sunday, Aug. 17: City and Colour wraps up the festival, with performances by the Philharmonik, Rich Aucoin, Michie Mee, Grae, and others.
Local talent will be well represented throughout the weekend, including Grae, Emmett Watters, Tony McManus, the Boo Radley Project’s Karaoke Live!, Chris Clark, Settlers Creek Band, the J-Strokes, and Drop Dead Poppies.
In a special return, Dine Alone Records celebrates its 20th anniversary at the festival for the first time since 2019. Expect exclusive merch, vinyl, and surprises at their festival store, with artists like City and Colour, Yukon Blonde, Cam Kahin, and more featured.
Despite some rainy challenges at last year’s event, Riverfest Elora’s resilient team bounced back strong, ensuring this year’s festival will be better than ever. “We’re still the ‘can’t-miss party of the summer,’ with a mix of chart-toppers, nostalgic artists, and local favorites,” the team said.
Festival-goers can look forward to three days filled with live music, stunning art, delicious food and drinks, and the signature Riverfest energy, all set against the beautiful backdrop of the Grand River.
Newly appointed festival manager Sonia Cheng emphasized the community aspect of the event, stating, “The festival is built on the passion of our 500-plus volunteers who make it all happen. We can’t wait to celebrate our big 15th anniversary with you.”
