In the final week of Ontario’s election campaign, the Progressive Conservatives remain in a strong position, even as their support has dipped slightly. According to a new Ipsos Global Public Affairs poll conducted exclusively for Global News, if the election were held tomorrow, Doug Ford’s PC party would secure a comfortable win.

The poll indicates that the PCs hold 46 per cent support, leaving Bonnie Crombie’s Liberals in second place at 25 per cent. The NDP, led by Marit Stiles, follows with 21 per cent, while Mike Schreiner’s Green Party trails at eight per cent.

These figures reflect a modest shift from earlier in the campaign. The Progressive Conservatives have seen their numbers drop by four points, the Green Party has risen by two, and both the Liberals and the NDP have gained one point each.

Darrell Bricker, CEO of Ipsos, summed up the current political climate by stating, “It looks at the moment like Premier Ford and the Progressive Conservative Party are cruising to a third majority government.”

As the campaign nears its conclusion, voters and observers alike are keeping a close watch on the evolving dynamics in this high-stakes contest.
