Ever thought about getting your fresh produce straight from a local farm?

The Guelph Farmers’ Market at 10C is promoting community-supported agriculture (CSA) as an excellent way to enjoy farm-fresh food. A CSA subscription allows you to receive seasonal produce and other farm goods directly from local farmers throughout the growing season.

For those curious about joining, 10C is hosting a CSA showcase event on Thursday, Feb. 27, from 4 to 7 p.m. at 2 Gordon St. The event is free and offers a chance to explore local farm offerings, meet growers, and even sign up on the spot.

“In today’s grocery landscape, where monopolies drive up prices and limit choice, supporting a CSA program is more important than ever,” states the 10C website.

Purchasing from a CSA provides financial stability for local farmers while ensuring fresh, sustainable, and transparent food sources. It’s a way to invest in your community, support food security, and know exactly where and how your food is grown.
