Police stopped the vehicle around midnight on Saturday in the area of York Road and Victoria Road South after noticing it being driven erratically.

The officer detected alcohol on the driver’s breath and observed that he was unsteady on his feet. After failing a roadside test, the man was taken to the police station for further testing, which revealed he had nearly three times the legal limit of alcohol in his system.

The 28-year-old has been charged with impaired driving. His driver’s licence has been suspended for 90 days, and his vehicle was impounded for seven days.
